He had once been known for his role as the young fiancé of Mary Ingalls, one of the heroines of The Little House On The Prairie, but it is today for much less trivial reasons that he is being talked about again. American actor Radames Pera, former actor in the hit 1970s series, has been indicted for sexual assault and aggravated rape of a minor under 15, BFMTV learned this Friday from the Reims prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Journal The union.
Now 61 years old, the former actor has lived for several years in France, in the city of Reims. The facts of which he is accused date from the period 2020-2021. The victim was a minor and under the age of 15 at the time of the alleged facts.
The actor denies the facts
A preliminary investigation begins in the spring of 2021, after the filing of a complaint. The prosecution then opened a judicial investigation last December. It was at this time that the ex-actor was indicted and placed under judicial supervision. Pre-trial detention is not requested because the suspect cooperates and responds to all court summonses.
The investigation is currently continuing, in particular to find elements of the charges, testimonies and possible other victims.
Heard several times by the investigators, the American systematically denies the facts. He has no criminal record in France.
Radames Pera became known for his supporting roles in soap operas Kung Fu and The Little House On The Prairiebig hits of the 1970s, before playing his last film role in the 1980s.
