Game News From Software (Elden Ring): game in final phase, multiple projects in development… Hidetaka Miyazaki talks about the future
Four months after the release of the hit Elden Ring, the developers of From Software and especially its president Hidetaka Miyazaki already have their eyes on the future. During an interview with a Japanese media, he spoke about the future plans of the studio.

“There are several titles directed by others than me”
In an interview granted to the Japanese media 4gamer, the president of From Software Hidetaka Miyazaki (and director on the acclaimed Elden Ring) confided in the future of the studio and in particular its future projects. During this interview, he indicates that an unannounced project (which he already mentioned in 2018) was in its final stages of development. A project, which would be a new iteration of Armored Core if we believe the rumors, would not be the only one in the pipeline:
In fact, there are several titles run by people other than me, and it’s time to increase the number of developers. I think we can show you the direction of another color from From Software, so look forward to it.
Words backed by action. Just today, From Software’s official page posted several job offers on Twitter. These concern several positions, from QA tester to sound engineer and graphic designer:
複数 の 新 プロジェクト に 向け て 、 、 職種 の スタッフ 募集 を 開始 いたし まし た。 フロム で で 一緒 ゲーム を を て くださる くださる 皆さん 、 て て て て い。 よろしけれ ばぜひ ばぜひ ばぜひ 、 サイト を を ご 確認 ください。。。。。 ://t.co/p9FvoxnB9T pic.twitter.com/rvDKkipjQA

We have started recruiting staff for a wide range of professions for several new projects. We look forward to working with you on creating games with FromSoftware.
The future of Elden Ring secured
In addition to From Software’s projects, the president talks about the many hats he wears within the studio. President but also director, it is however the profession of director that interests him the most. While he can’t talk about the project he’s currently leading, he already has ideas for the future:
In the medium-long term, I would like to work on a fantasy with a higher degree of abstraction than past works.
He explains that in the process of creating RPGs like Elden Ring, certain ideas and images put on the table do not stick with the game. They end up being numerous enough to be used elsewhere, such as in a title being more abstract.
Miyazaki concludes the interview by returning to Elden Ring. It indicates that the game will continue to be updated. Moreover, it is worth remembering that From Software and Bandai Namco have other plans for the title. On the occasion of the publication of their press release mentioning the twelve million copies distributed throughout the world, they had then hoped “that Elden Ring will grow as IP (characters and other IP), with the hopes of seeing it expand beyond the realm of games.“ In any case, the agenda seems very full for the years to come.
