the RC Lens has just formalized its 3rd summer recruit. After Adam Buksa and Jimmy Cabotthe club lensois welcome Salis Abdul Samed.
Aged 22, the Ghanaian has signed up for 5 seasons with the Blood and Gold. If the Racing did not disclose the information, the transfer fee is estimated at 5 million euros. The midfielder stood out last season on the Clermont side with great performances in the midfield for his first season in Ligue 1.
Passed by the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy, Salis Abdul Samed was an essential element of Pascal Gastien’s system, playing 31 league games for one goal. Ironically, the player had passed an inconclusive test at La Gaillette in 2019 before taking his first steps in France at Bollaert during a second round of the Coupe de la Ligue, on August 27, 2019 with Clermont against RC Lens. The Lensois won on penalties (7 pens to 6) after a 0-0 draw at the end of regulation time.
Now a member of RCL, Salis Abdul Samed could well replace Cheick Doucoure in the midfield. The Malian is, in fact, announced close to Crystal Palace.
