As expected since yesterday, Vitinha will be the first PSG recruit of the Campos era. According to all of the Portuguese press, Jorge Mendes was present in Paris on Wednesday evening and unblocked the file, which had been well underway for two weeks, but had blocked until then on the terms of payment of the Porto player’s clause, fixed to 40 million euros.
PSG wanted to pay it in installments while the Dragons demanded the immediate and total payment of this sum before June 30, just to be able to recognize it in their 2021-2022 accounting year. According to O Jogo, PSG finally acceded to this request but will go through a factoring organization. To put it simply, Porto will receive the €40m via this organization, which Paris will then reimburse in three instalments (and obviously with some additional costs).
But Vitinha will strengthen the Parisian workforce and is expected in the next few hours in Paris to pass his medical examination and sign a five-year contract in the process. This completed file, the PSG will now be able to accelerate on the tracks Milan Skriniar (Inter Milan), Gianluca Scamacca (Sassuolo) and Renato Sanches (LOSC), who have all already given their agreement to the Parisian club.
