id Software’s 2004 game almost as good as Doom 2016 / Doom Eternal.
If you enjoy the Doom franchise, this short remake of Doom 3 made in the Unreal Engine 5 by François Montagud, teacher in 3D computer graphics at Interactive Art & Design, is certainly worth the five short minutes of viewing. The title of id Software, published in 2004, offers a major visual facelift; however, the sounds and sound effects remain those of the original title.
The author of the video writes in the description: ” Hello everyone. I just made a small playable demo of DOOM 3 on unreal 5. I designed the 3D models, textures, animations, lighting and blueprint. Music and sound effects from the original game. like and share if you like (Small fps drops sometimes. It’s because of the video recording, the game itself is fluid if you have a pc for gaming) ». Unfortunately, it does not specify the configuration used. In any case, you just have to watch since this demo is not available for download.

Hell on Mars
Of all the in-engine recreations of Epic Games that we’ve shared, this is clearly one of the best. You can still take a look at other equally qualitative sequences inspired by Bioshock, Zelda Ocarina of Time, the eternal Skyrim or even The Simpsons: Hit and Run.
Going back to Doom 3, this opus was released in August 2004. Here is the synopsis: “A massive demon invasion took the UAC (Union Aerospace Corporation’s) by surprise. You are one of the few survivors and must find the solution to get out of this Hell on Mars. The path will be long and perilous, but rest assured: chainsaws, pistols and a sawed-off shotgun will be there. »
You can acquire a copy of the game on Steam in exchange for 4.99 euros.
