His young neighbor played by Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton (recently seen in season 3 ofUmbrella Academy) discovers his secret and tries to put him back in the saddle. The MGM and Balboa Productions co-produced project was announced in early 2019 and was originally set to hit theaters in November 2020, but the pandemic upended plans. The arrival on Amazon Prime Video has been pushed back until August 2022 and so far few previews have been unveiled.

It’s easy to guess that Stallone’s character and Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton’s will ally after the superhero saves the teenager from three other teenagers punching her, but the rest of the screenplay written by Bragi F .shut(Escape Game) is still blurry, while the images and their decor are no more dreamy than that. The actor Pilou Asbæk should meanwhile embody the obligatory villain of the story alongside Dascha Polanco, Martin Starr, Moises Arias, Sophia Tatum, Michael Aaron Milligan, Nicholas Logan or even Ritchie Montgomery who make up the rest of the cast.

The film directed by Julius Avery, who will be behind the camera for the first time since Overlord in 2018, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on August 26.
