A former Lacrosse star at Warriors camp

All over the NBA, franchises distribute invitations for their training camp, and on the Golden State side, the signing of Pat Spencer, a 26-year-old fullback, has been announced. Preview in the G-League with the Capital Go-Go, he has the distinction of being a former star of Lacrosse, this sport practiced in North America.

Trained at Loyola University until 2019, he spent three years on the Lacrosse team, and he is still considered one of the best players in college history! During his junior year, he was first a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, which rewards the best player of the season. A trophy he won the following year, during his senior year.

He leaves the NCAA with the all-time record in assists and second in goals scored. Expected as the first choice of the Draft, he then surprises everyone by choosing to becomeā€¦ basketball player! He then joined Northwestern College where he averaged 10 points and 4 rebounds in his only season.

Turning pro, he joined Hamburg in Germany where he averaged 9.2 points, then last season he managed to find a place in the Wizards G-League team with 7.5 points per game and very good percentages: 59% on shots, 47% on 3-pointers and 81% on free throws.

Like most of the guests at the preseason camps, we should find him in the G-League next season, and it will therefore be with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
