After expressing his desire to end his career with the Cleveland Browns earlier this summer, running back Kareem Hunt appears to have changed his mind by demanding a trade.

At least that’s what the NFL Network said on Sunday morning. The Ohio organization would have refused this request.
Hunt, 27, still has one more season to go on his current pact, so he could receive the franchise tag or enjoy full free agency this winter. In 2021, he averaged 4.9 yards per carry, being limited to eight games due to calf and ankle injuries. He rushed for 386 yards for five touchdowns.
The player from Willoughby, in the suburbs of Cleveland, had however indicated in June that he was going to advocate patience in his negotiations with the Browns. “I hope I can be here long term,” he said, not without hiding that he wanted to be paid at fair value.
Hunt has two 1,000-yard rushing seasons since making his NFL debut five years ago.
He was also involved in two incidents that took place off the football field in 2019 which resulted in him being released by the Kansas City Chiefs. He had notably been filmed during an altercation with a woman in a hotel in Cleveland. Recovered by the Browns, he had been suspended for six games for his conduct.
