EuroBasket: NBA Champion 2022, Serbian Nemanja Bjelica is forfeited

Strong winger Nemanja Bjelica (2.06m, 34), who was crowned NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors in June, and who signed up for next season with Fenerbahçe, will not participate in EuroBasket 2022. He was unable to fully recover from a calf injury.

Serbia hoped for a full recovery for the European Championship, but that did not happen.

Nemanja Bjelica has not fully resumed the training process after injuring his right leg calf and is currently unable to reach the level of fitness required for such a demanding competition in such a short time from now. the European Championship said national team doctor Dr Dragan Radovanović.

Ognjen Dobrić, Filip Petrushev and Boriša Simanić were also removed from the list by coach Svetislav Pesic.

On the other hand, Nemanja Nedovic is on the attack for EuroBasket, while the participation of Nikola Milutinov, who is suffering from a virus, does not seem to be in question.
