In the first half, EVS achieved a turnover of nearly 68 million euros (up 9% compared to the same period last year). The net result remains identical to that of the first six months of 2021, at 15.5 million euros. “High and global inflation is clearly having a negative impact on the cost of our materials and our labor costs, explains EVS boss Serge Van Herck. We have started to compensate for this impact by applying price increases. that we will have to continue to adjust these prices to rising inflation.” However, the most positive point concerns the order book. It also displays a historically high amount, at 88.7 million euros, and that without taking into consideration a major contract of more than 50 million dollars over 10 years with a major American producer and announced two weeks ago. “Our long-term orders increase by nearly 40% if we add this 10-year contract,” observes Serge Van Herck. “Overall, I continue to be cautiously optimistic about our future, continues the CEO. We are now confident enough to increase our revenue forecast for 2022”. EVS is now counting on more than 140 million euros, against 125 million previously.
