Lotus has announced that its future will be fully electric. And the British manufacturer, bought in 2017 by the Chinese group Gelly, has also converted to SUV fashion with this Eletre, whose two electric motors would develop at least 600 hp. Enough to pass this machine more than five meters long and two wide from 0 to 100 km / h in less than three seconds. Despite the massive use of aluminum and carbon fibre, this model weighs two tonnes and is by far the heaviest of the Lotuses… At the rear, you have the choice between two individual seats or a bench seat three places. But the trunk (400 liters) is limited in terms of size. Air suspension will be standard and rear-wheel steering will be available to increase agility. The manufacturer promises 600 km of autonomy and the battery of more than 100 kWh will be charged quickly (up to 22 kW in AC and 350 kW in DC). The Eletre will be produced in China and should land here in 2023, for a price starting at 120,000 euros.
