NFL: Buffalo Bills would be interested in Christian McCaffrey

The Buffalo Bills would be interested in acquiring Christian McCaffrey if the Carolina Panthers decide to trade the star running back.

At this time, the Panthers have had no discussions with any other teams regarding a possible trade involving McCaffrey. With a new coach and a team in disarray, the Panthers may decide to maximize the value of their running back.

There’s no doubt that 26-year-old McCaffrey remains one of the most dynamic offensive players when healthy. He was one of the only bright spots for the Panthers during their poor start to the season. He rushed for 324 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 26 catches for 188 yards and another touchdown.

Injuries have limited him to just 10 games between the 2020-21 seasons, so his production at this stage of the season is encouraging, even if he’s not at the same level as in his outstanding 2019 season.

There’s no doubt he would be a major improvement in the backfield at Buffalo, where the trio of Devin Singletary, Zack Moss and James Cook combined for a modest 351 rushing yards and just one hit.
