Kansas City Chiefs defeat Los Angeles Chargers on NFL Day 2

The Kansas City Chiefs signed their second victory of the season on Thursday against the Los Angeles Chargers (27-24), for the start of the second day of the NFL. It was a new shock in the raised AFC West division, where all teams (with the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos) can hope for a place in the play-offs this season.

Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback, returned a correct copy with 235 yards and two touchdown passes. Kansas City’s defense was a big part of the team’s win. Cornerback Jaylen Watson intercepted LA QB Justin Herbert as the Chargers were one yard from the end zone in the final quarter. He then moved all the way up the field to score a TD (see below) and allow Kansas City to lead (24-17) for the first time in the game.

The Kansas City defense also managed to put Herbert under pressure, inflicting two sacks on him. The young Californian quarterback hurt his ribs late in the game. Los Angeles scored a final touchdown at the last minute. Insufficient to catch up. The second day of the NFL will continue on Sunday, with 13 matches including New Orleans – Tampa Bay (live on the L’Équipe channel at 7 p.m.) and Dallas – Cincinnati.
