Telenet sees customers reducing their subscription – Companies

Telenet noted, in the third quarter, that some customers no longer subscribed to its bundled offers and decided to get rid of one or the other service. However, the telecom company managed to maintain its financial results, thanks in particular to its price increases.

Revenue in the third quarter was 3.1% higher than the same period last year, at 660.5 million euros. EBITDA – earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization – was 2.6% higher, at 347.3 million.

It was the price increases that mainly enabled the growth in turnover, Telenet having increased its prices by 4.7% for internet, television and telephony.

Telenet lost customers in the third quarter, “in a climate of increased competition”. The company has also noticed a more critical analysis of its bundled offers, and the suspension of certain services by customers.

Telenet explains these terminations by the macro-economic context.
