Believing that there was still room for a new concept at the top of the segment, Peugeot designers imagined the 408, a very elegant 5-door fastback. Its slender silhouette seems made for those looking for something other than a compact SUV.

In terms of style, the 408 is distinguished by its fluid lines that play with light. It offers a slim and sporty profile and is 4cm higher and 5cm longer than the new 308 SW. The fastback sits on large wheels with rims up to 20 inches (available as an option depending on the version). Note in particular the long wheelbase (2.787 m) which allows rear passengers to have generous legroom. It is even the most spacious Peugeot for rear passengers. Inside, we discover the Peugeot i-Cockpit and the compact steering wheel quite typical of the lion brand.
