NFL: Carolina Panthers win 25-15 over Atlanta Falcons

In an NFC South matchup, the Carolina Panthers beat the Atlanta Falcons 25-15 to improve to three wins and seven losses

For this Thursday evening duel, Carolina imposed itself in the meeting by making several defensive plays which set the tone for this match.

A game in the rain that breathed defense, the Panthers’ running game disappointed the Atlanta defense which was without star cornerback AJ Terrell with a muscle injury. In the last four meetings, the formation of Georgia was undefeated against Carolina.

While the ground attack of the Panthers is running at full speed against a defense that lacks regularity, it is ultimately the aerial game that has benefited from the blunders of the Atlanta defense. Lavishka Shenault Jr took advantage of Walker’s 41-yard pass to score the game’s first touchdown.

As for the Atlanta attack, after a long offensive sequence orchestrated by Marcus Mariota, at the end of the second quarter, the Falcons settled for a three-point field goal converted by Younghoe Koo.

From the start of the third quarter, the Falcons were more enterprising towards the Panthers by taking the initiative. Quarterback Marcus Mariota completed a seven-yard touchdown pass for rookie receiver Drake London.
