Every NFL Wednesday, the Rookie Diary honors the most prominent rookies. The best offensive beginner, his defensive alter ego, the action, the revelation of the week, the flop… And, to finish, the Power Rooking. Everything, you will know everything about the Rookies!
Offensive Rookie of the Week
Jahan Dotson – WR – Washington Commanders (17th pick)
4 receptions, 105 yards, 1 touchdown
Discreet in recent weeks, Dotson recalled that it was not only Terry McLaurin in Washington. Passing the 100-yard mark for the first time in his career and adding a touchdown, the receiver made a full game. Not enough to ensure victory but promising for the home stretch with the playoffs in sight.
Defensive Rookie of the Week
Kayvon Thibodeaux – Edge – New York Giants (5th pick)
12 tackles, 1 sack, 3 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 touchdown
What a match for the new star of the defense of Giants! Omnipresent on the line, the pass rusher has done almost everything to the rivals of the capital. His touchdown at the start of the 2nd quarter (see below) allowed the Giants to take the lead in the match and his overall performance greatly harmed the opposing attack. If his start to the season truncated by injuries should leave him out of the race for defensive rookie of the year, he is unquestionably the rookie of the 2nd half of the season.
Special Mention: Quay Walker – LB – Green Bay Packers
He too is gaining momentum. Like his defense which (finally) released a full performance against the Rams, the linebacker was intractable. His 1st sack (individual) in career but also, a forced fumble but above all a radiation on the second curtain which greatly embarrassed the opponent. Promising for Packers in search of certainty.
action of the week
Kayvon Thibodeaux – Edge – New York Giants (5th pick)
Who else ? Like his monumental evening, Thibodeaux performs the perfect action. Sack, fumble, touchdown. What start the evening of the Giants in the best way.
Sack, forced fumble, touchdown, Kayvon Thibodeaux in his works 🔥#NYGvsWAS #TogetherBlue

Revelation of the week
Tyler Allgeier – RB – Atlanta Falcons (151st pick)
17 carries, 139 yards, 1 touchdown
It sure looks like the Falcons have found themselves a runner. If the very versatile Cordarelle Patterson is a gadget player who brings both passing and running, Allgeier is a pure running back. Facing the solid defense of the Saints, the former BYU shone. The 100-yard mark crossed for the first time in his career and an average per carry of more than 8 yards, he has established himself as a real offensive weapon in the backfield as evidenced by his 740 yards already covered since the start of the season.

3. Dameon Pierce – RB – Houston Texans

5. Kenneth Walker III – RB – Seattle Seahawks
