Rebel Moon : le Star Wars à la sauce Zack Snyder et Netflix se dévoile

the Star Wars with Zack Snyder sauce and Netflix is revealed

After Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder is still rolling for Netflix and unveils a new image of Rebel Moon. An original film but which has a link with the Star Wars saga of Georges Lucas.

Will Zack Snyder (300, Man of Steel…) recover after the failure of his films Justice League and Army of the Dead? We’ll see, but he shows a certain ambition with his next feature film: Rebel Moon.

A new image for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon

Basically, Zack Snyder is a director who divides enormously and his last films have not helped from this point of view. We still remember, unfortunately, the horrible Army of the Dead who misses everything he does, including sequences that could and should have been fun. A missed film which nevertheless made a cardboard audience on Netflix. And that, the SVOD giant likes.

All the lights are therefore green to welcome the next production of Zack Snyder and Netflix: Rebel Moon. A sci-fi movie halfway between Star Wars and Akira Kurosawa’s The Seven Samurai (yes, that’s a big difference there), which incidentally was originally a Star Wars feature film. At least that’s how it was pitched. And like the saga of George Lucas, if it takes, Zack Snyder would like more than anything to make it an extended and connected universe.

The director has teased his project – for which he is a director, screenwriter and producer – with a new rather obscure image without elements to understand the scene.

A beautiful cast

Rebel Moon is a film that tells the story of a young woman, played by Sofia Boutella, sent to the galaxy to recruit warriors to help a peaceful colony that is under attack.

A space colony on the edge of the galaxy is threatened by the tyrant Balisarius and his army. Peaceful, the civilians are distraught and desperate. As a last hope, they send Kora, a mysterious young woman, to seek help from warriors from other planets.

Sofia Boutella (Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Atomic Blonde) will share the bill with Charlie Hunman (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim), Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Amistad) and others like the legendary Anthony Hopkins (Le silence lambs, Dracula).
