After The Secret of the Mummy, the adaptation of the very first Disney Channel Original Movie returns for a second part which will be broadcast this Monday at 9 a.m. on Disney Channel (Date and Time Metropolis, editor’s note).
This film tells the story of Marshall (Malachi Barton), Gilbert (Christian J. Simon) and Amy (Sophia Hammons) as they prepare to attend Amy’s dad’s “spooktacular” Halloween-themed wedding. Everything is going well…until the trio discovers that their friend, mummy Harold (Phil Wright), and his beloved, Rose (Rryla McIntosh), are in grave danger. Sobek (TJ Storm), an evil mummy who harbors a thousand-year-old grudge against Hiccup, his ex-best friend, has woken up and is intent on getting revenge.
With the help of his valet, Larry (Jordan Conley), whom he hypnotized, Sobek abducts Rose. Amy, Gilbert, Marshall, Buzzy (Melanie Brook) and Harold will have to unite their efforts to save her before the start of the ceremony.
“We’re thrilled to kick off the Halloween season with a thrilling new adventure, with even more mummies, scares and fun”, explains Lauren Kisilevsky, Deputy General Manager of Original Productions at Disney Branded Television.
Claude Knowlton (Supergirl), Antonio Cayonne (Les Petits Champions: Game Changers) and Adam Wylie (who played in the eponymous film released in 1997) are also in the credits of this film by Alex Zamm (The Evil Book, The Beverly Chihuahua Hills 2) produced by MarVista Entertainment. Todd Y. Murata (Imperceptible, Best. Worst. Weekend. Ever.) and Fernando Szew (Droit au but, 16 Voeux) are the executive producers. Based on Don Rhymer’s original screenplay, this sequel is written by Josh A. Cagan (Spin, Kim Possible).
“The secret of the mummy 2” is to be discovered on October 31 at 9:00 a.m. on Disney Channel, a channel available in the Canal+ Offers in Overseas, Parabole Réunion-Mayotte, SFR, Zeop and exclusively in the Canal+ France Offers.
