Ellipse Animation strengthens its Angoulême studio

Ellipse Animation continues its development by strengthening its production capacities from its Angoulême site. Established in Charente since 2014, Ellipse Studio Angoulême will settle in mid-February in new premises of 660m2 and will triple its number of workstations, from fifty to 160.

Ellipse Studio Angoulême, where Season 2 of La Famille Blaireau-Renard was produced (Season 1 received the 2020 Unifrance Prize for audiovisual export) whose broadcast begins on France Télévisions, is preparing to work on ambitious new productions : Belfort & Lupin for France Télévisions, Les Marsupilamis for Groupe M6, Les Schtroumpfs season 3 for TF1 and Nickelodeon (Paramount group) or the feature film Yakari 2 which will be presented next March at Cartoon Movie.

“This development of our Angoulême studio is an important step in our development strategy,” says Caroline Audebert, Managing Director of Ellipse Animation. ” It allows us to manufacture more and more productions in parallel and to consider more projects. Between Paris and Angoulême, Ellipse Animation now has 260 workstations, only face-to-face. In addition, we benefit fully from the very virtuous ecosystem set up by the Magelis Image Cluster where studios, service providers and schools coexist. And we are also going to strengthen our ties with them to facilitate our recruitment policy. “.

To support this transformation, Caroline Audebert proposed to Arnaud Reguilleta seasoned animation professional who has worked for many studios in France and abroad, to join the Ellipse Animation team to take up the newly created position of Director of Ellipse Studio Angoulême.

I am very happy to join Ellipse Animation at a key moment in its history. says Arnaud Réguillet. ” It is a historical company with which I have already had the pleasure of collaborating as a freelancer, which knows how to renew itself, adapt to a very competitive universe and innovate within a group which offers a unique ecosystem in Europe. .
